So much to learn!

We had a great New Year's Eve home with Sid watching the hockey game. We have to stay home with Sid as he is frightened to death of the fireworks and totally freaks out. This year he ended up hiding underneath the bed all night and I thought for sure he would have a heart attack!

This week at work is our education week where there are sessions on a variety of topics related to our work. Today was a half day session on feeding called mealtime misery. This is not an area I work in, but I decided to attend as I've heard some stories about feeding difficulties when adopted children come home. It was definitely a worthwhile session and I learned tons. Hopefully, I won't need to use the info I learned but it was interesting none the less. I really should get reading some of the adoption books that I bought but I'm in no rush as we haven't even received a referral yet. I'm sure that they will be lots of time to read at that point. Last weekend I saw the cutest little boy's outfit at Costco and I broke down and bought it. It's size 18 months so I hope that it will fit our little boy, that is if we are even referred a little boy.

When I get a chance, I'll have to post a few of our Christmas pictures. Of course, they're not too intesting but Sid is awfully cute!

I love how you are buying clothes:) You know you are going to get a girl for sure now, right? I hope you hear something soon so you can begin the next wait.

I love learning new things. I think it's the geeky teacher side of me. I want to apply for my master's but don't have enough teaching time in yet.

I bet the outfit is adorable.

I was just going to say what julie said about your referral being a girl. I bet the outfit will look cute on her anyway ;-)

Did you see the cute pyjamas they have at Costco?! I've been told they're good quality...and they're not expensive either...I'll probably break down and buy some size 18 months pyjamas! Sighhhhh...

Hey, the next time I go online to check out your blog, I'm hoping and praying that it will be to read about your referral!! It's time...

I tried to read adoption books while we were waiting and I did read some but they made so much more sense after we came home and were dealing with the issues! Try and read some but don't overwhelm yourself...each child is different.

I had to buy things before we had our referral, too. It just somehow made everything seem more real. Hoping you hear something soon!
